1. What I know about propaganda is what I learned in World History II last year. I would define it as a method to promote certain views, methods, and invoke a since of pride to contribute. 2. The definition I found was from Merriam-Webster   which defined it as " the spreading of ideas, information, or  rumor  for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause, or a person or  ideas, facts, or allegations spread deliberately to further one's cause or to damage an opposing cause." 3. Native American Influence

          Wes Stud i  Wesley "Wes" Studi is a Native American (Cherokee) Actor who has expressed his native culture through film. His amazing portals of his characters has changed the modern stereotypes society has placed on Native Americans. His most known performances are his roles in "Dancing with Wolves", "The last of the Mohicans", "Geronimo", "Heat", and "Avatar". Until he was five he only spoke his native Cherokee language. He attended the Chicolo Indian Boarding School in Northern Oklahoma, but unlike many Native American students he never forget his language. After his time in the U.S military he became very politically involved with Native American issues, such as joining the AIM (American Indian Movement) and participated in the Trail of Broken Treaties and Bureau Of Indian Affairs protests. Learning History Through Film

Movies can change minds. Although Hollywood cannot get everything historically accurate movies are a great way to experience history through time. Glory and 12 Years a Slave prove that movies can help develop analytical thinking towards real events, circumstances, and attitude by critical watching and researching. Both of these movies were taken from true events that the filmmakers were able to present years of history into a couple of hours. Colonel Shaw The movies were presented in different perspectives to create eye opening experiences of how blacks were treated pre-civil war based on different circumstances. Glory was told from the perspective of a white general leading the 54 th Massachusetts regime. In an interview with director Edward Zwick he was asked why he chose to have the movie told from a white officer’s point of view.
